I’ve always been interested in crystals and gems and precious stones as a very young child. Not as jewelry, but for as elements. They were fascinating to me and beautiful. But growing up, stones were associated with jewelry and ornaments that you wear on your body and from a religious standpoint, I didn’t wear jewelry (more on why this is so, at a later post). So I never really dove into the science or even the spiritual essence of precious stones. At least not until the last couple of years.
I believe that natural products from the earth emit certain vibrations that our body needs. I do not necessarily believe that crystals or gems can cure any ailment, but It can help sort of project good vibrations and energies – possibly even amplify them. Plus, they’re beautiful. So when I came across the practice or running your drinking water through crystals, it intrigued me. I know that coal, in general, is a natural purifier. Our water filters small traces of coal and clay and other metallic elements that neutralize and filter our water so that we can safely drink it (and depending on the element, water DOES have a distinctive taste). So it made sense to me that crystals can do the same energetically. Here is a blog post that Free People has explaining the different gems/crystals and the benefits of each.
